Jessica Katz, LSW
Jessica is a dedicated mental health professional with a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is especially interested in working with adolescents and young adults navigating self-esteem concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, life transitions, and relationship challenges, as well as survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Her work is informed by a background in sexual assault advocacy.
Jessica uses lightness and humor in her approach and works to make therapy feel approachable, especially for those who find starting therapy awkward or intimidating. She believes trust is the foundation of the therapeutic relationship and tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, including incorporating creativity when helpful. She aims for clients to feel valued and prioritized throughout the process.
Jessica offers a supportive, collaborative atmosphere while gently challenging clients to support meaningful growth and change. She believes healing takes time, is rarely linear, and can feel messy at times, and she is committed to walking alongside clients through that process.
Outside of her clinical work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her puppy and kitty, staying active, listening to music, keeping up with pop culture, and getting lost in a good book.
